ABOUT

I want you to Be Darn Good™

HEY THERE!

I'm Erin Hines

I absolutely love coaching CEOs, business owners, and leaders to lead as the truest version of themselves. Not by piling on more strategies or telling you what you should do — but by helping you strip away what was never yours in the first place.

My work is holistic because leadership is holistic. Your business doesn’t exist separately from your nervous system, your energy, or your sense of self.

I help you dismantle overwhelm, free up hours in your week, and build a business that actually fits you — one that feels steady to run, not heavy to carry.

And most importantly, I help you trust yourself again.

That didn’t come easily for me.

I founded Darn Good Business Coach after years of doing everything for everyone else — staying busy enough that I didn’t have to listen to myself. Managing, organizing, holding things together… while quietly disappearing inside it all.

I wasn’t unhappy, but it wasn’t the life I dreamed of either.

I did everything I was supposed to do. Went to college. Got a business degree. Became a business analyst. Collected certifications and letters next to my name.

On paper, I was successful. In real life, I was going through the motions.

The equation I was living by was simple: Work hard + Help others = Be successful and happy.

The problem was, I kept myself so busy I had no time to breathe. Late nights. Half-hearted dinners. Old sitcom reruns because my brain had nothing left to give. Then doing it all again the next day.

I was working overtime to keep everything and everyone in harmony. Saying yes to make things easier for others. Doing what I had watched my mom do in her own business — put herself last and call it responsibility.

Somewhere along the way, I slipped completely out of integrity with myself. I lost sight of what I wanted.

The last time I remember feeling fully alive in my work was years earlier — long before coaching, long before Human Design.

It was in college, at Cal Poly Pomona, where I joined the Rose Float program.

For two years, I served as president. I led a team of 40 people, managed a multi–six-figure budget, oversaw massive deadlines, and helped build a float from scratch.

It was intense. High-stakes. Demanding. It was seen by millions.

And I loved it.

Because I wasn’t just working hard, I was building something meaningful. Creating structure where none existed. Leading people. Making decisions. Refining systems that actually worked.

That was the thread I couldn’t ignore anymore.

I wasn’t meant to just execute someone else’s vision. I was meant to design — and to lead.

That realization cracked something open. I dove into self-discovery, not as an escape, but as an investigation. I studied Human Design, leadership, identity, and energy — how people are actually wired to work, decide, and commit.

And beneath all of it, I discovered this: I matter.

Not because of how much I produce.
Not because I hold everything together.
But because I get to choose how I lead my life.

I started listening to my gut. Following what felt true instead of what looked responsible. Letting go of the 9–5 blueprint that drained me — even though it “worked.”

More than anything, I wanted a life outside of work. And a business that didn’t require me to abandon myself to succeed.

That’s where I am now.

I’ve designed a life with real freedom — one where I run a successful coaching business and have the space to enjoy it. Built in integrity with who I am.

My mission is simple and unapologetic: To help women devote themselves to what they actually want — without guilt, burnout, or self-betrayal — because they know they matter too.

I believe when you live and lead as your truest self, it ripples outward — into your business, your relationships, and every room you walk into.

I want to help you do the same.

To be so Darn Good — so clear, grounded, and aligned — that you can’t imagine leading any other way.

Are you with me???

How I See Leadership (And Why My Work Is Different)

I don’t believe leadership is about doing more, pushing harder, or holding everything together through willpower.

That approach might produce results for a while — but eventually it costs you clarity, presence, and yourself.

I believe the most effective leaders are deeply self-trusting.

They listen inward before they act outward.
They build businesses that support their energy instead of draining it.

This is why I don’t teach hustle.
I don’t manufacture urgency.
And I don’t believe more structure automatically creates better results.

Structure only works when it fits the person inside it.

Human Design, in my work, isn’t an identity or a label. It’s a diagnostic tool — a way to understand how you’re wired to make decisions, manage energy, and lead sustainably. From there, we design strategy that actually works in real life.

Alignment isn’t about doing less.
It’s about doing what’s true — and letting go of what never was.

When leaders stop forcing themselves into models that don’t fit, leadership starts to feel steady instead of heavy.

That’s the work I’m here to do.

A Few of My Favorite Things

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
